SOME INFO

me_2.jpg

Born in Geneva in 1976, I am an Italian-Swiss with a disputing and non-conformist temperament. “Dras”, this nickname has been with me for a long time now. It comes from my origins and my island character.

Training

My artistic career began in the 90s, in college, by choosing a school course in the artistic/drawing section. At the same time, I enrolled in courses in academic drawing, photography and welding at the Beaux-Arts. In 2005, I continued my training in Visual Communication at HEAD, (High School of Art and Design). In the meantime, an interest in people and the transmission of knowledge also led me to university in Education Sciences. This training ends with a Master in Specialized Education (MESP).

Approach and visuals

My artistic creations are made with pen, gray and colored pencils by mixing the technique of drawing with that of photography. The mixture of these two fields allows me to achieve a coherent amalgam, very close to reality. Each of my works offers a subjective vision of my environment by playing on the ambiguity that mixes the real with the imaginary.

In my drawings, I invite the viewer to share my ideas about the world, an interpretation that is poetic, ironic and humorous. It is in this form that I lead you to ask yourself questions about the action of Man on Man, its effect on the environment and the consequences on our current and future societies,

The themes that come up most often are related to the news of the moment. A support that allows me to treat the scourges and malfunctions that too often become ordinary and not very visible.

From the nickname Dras: says nothing acts subtly.
